The Lord showed a friend of mine, Mark Aldridge, the following once; that sins of omittance, (things we fail to do for God or spiritually for ourselves), can be even worse than sins of commission, (doing things we know we are not supposed to do). This was because we know that we shouldn’t be committing sins and know that we will need to repent and turn away from those things. However, things deemed harmless by the world can distract us from serving God or feeding ourselves spiritually without us even realising the dangerous spiritual state we are slipping into.
